Have you ever bought an artwork in a virtual gallery?
Someone has been first at "Chinese Contemporary Art" of Artitude.gallery. You could be the first at "European Contemporary Art" - why not choose a work by your favorite artist Antonio Wehrli?
I love the design and the possibilities that virtual galleries are creating and will create. There are still bugs and the website was unfortunately down right the day after my last post. But the team of Artitude is working hard to give you the best possible experience right from your home.
Virtual experiences help decrease the environmental footprint. The artworks don't have to be shipped around the world for an exhibition. Only a sale triggers the transport of the works.
It's not for everyone - yet. But I think they will become more and more important in the future.
Offline brick and mortar galleries will hopefully always be around as well:
At "Antonio Wehrli Art Space" in Schwanden, you can still see the exhibition "Wintertime". This coming weekend will be the last few days of the show. If you haven't visited yet, I urge you to come. It's definitely worth the visit. Artworks of nine talented artists are on display. A beautiful array of ideas, colors, styles and techniques. 2023 - a new year bringing new ideas. January is the first month - why not do something for the first time? Until soon,
Turn your life colorful!
